Our mission for Rebecca was clear - to create a stir with a memorable launch for her new venture, a gorgeous vintage teahouse on Carshalton High Street. Rebecca is very imaginative and creative so we were keen to sit down and talk through all her ideas.
The result of our collaboration was that, on a sunny evening in May 2016, a merry chink of cups and saucers rang out across Carshalton High Street as Dotty's celebrated its opening with a vintage-themed tea party. Party-goers enjoyed a selection of teatime treats and Surrey-made Silent Pool Gin served in china teacups, while singers The Haywood Sisters arrived in a classic Morris Minor to entertain the guests.
Declaring Dotty's Teahouse officially open, the Mayor of Sutton released a bunch of balloons, each containing a surprise gift; the lucky finders of the balloons discovered an invitation hidden within to enjoy an indulgent afternoon tea for two at Dotty's Teahouse.
The Market Place was involved in all aspects of the organisation and oversaw such key elements as the guest list, the photography and all the press and PR.
Rebecca was delighted with the results and her teahouse has been a resounding success.
